license plate

I've a question extremely stupid...

I have the s5 oem body kit and i have no brackets for the front license plate.
When i bought the car the license plate was directly riveted to the front edge of the bumper, which was really ugly.

I made two V brackets that i installed in between the lip and the bumper. It looks good but it's too low, i keep on bending it when i leave my garage or hit a bump in the road, and eventually the brackets break...

I considered other eventuality but there are not much as i want to avoid blocking the air inlet for the brakes and the oil cooler

this how it looks (with my fake honda logo in order to be sure to have pictures...)

my last idea it to do a bracket that attach to the tow hook and have the plate installed above the brake air inlet...

i can't find example of brackets that would fit my needs, do you have any ?

In USDM, there's a bracket you can order for $30 that will hold up in front of the nosecone so the bottom is just above where the intake starts

hum not sure... it would still block the brake air inlet (not sure if it's really functional though)

Yep, just like that, except someone pushed it up against the bumper before I bought it. It is an original plate bracket though.

Here's what a brand new one looks like, exactly as it comes from Mazda:

ok, that's almost the same as where was attached my plate initially (except it was directly riveted to the bumper). I'm not a huge fan of the look... moreover that we have big licence plate around here, and the us plate size are not really legal here and expensive to get... for the moment my plate is duct taped to the sort of fin in the main air inlet of the bumper... not street legal at all, but gives the drift missile look lol.

On my RX-7, the previous owner had the license plate drilled into the front bumper, just like in the picture above. Then one day it just fell off onto the road and I ran over it. The studs that hold the license plate bracket in the air duct area just rusted away, and the holes in the bumper looked like there were two or three attempts at trying to make the correct drill spots. Then there were other problems with the bumper, cracks, scrapes and splits. So I replaced the bumper with a really good condition one. No problems.. So I know, with all the work I put into the replacement bumper, I'm not gonna ruin it by drilling holes into it! I will make a stronger bracket that will either display the license plate in front of the bumper (without drilling holes into the bumper) or in front of one of air intakes. It can't be helped. But really, I don't believe the plate being placed in front of the air intakes is going to cause any type of overheating.
