Talking Yah, 45!

Ok so I had my friend check out my 90 GTU on the manual mode on the emissions machine to see what it would blow. Well it did an amazing 45 HC. Now I just need to get it back down there to get the actually emissions done now.

It almost feel good to see "gross polluter" on that piece of paper, doesn't it?

I'm happy, well now it won't as it is cat less now, and soon to have more emission things removed.

Wow... you guys must hate me... My last smog on my turbo vert was 21PPM at 737RPM (out of a max of 120PPM) and 5 at 2655 RPM (out of a max of 140PPM).

Yep, that is only 5 parts per million at 2655 RPM.

Of course he did have the test listed as a single exhaust even though I have a dual cat back, so he may have been measuring wrong.

And the motor was rebuilt last year.

My car was crazy low on emissions.

HC were at 2.1 with the limit of 100, and NO was at .11, with the limit at .6

Actually, those were the numbers before I bought it. Once I had it inspected on a dyno run, the numbers were actually even lower.

Let's put it this way, percentage-wise (because I can't remember actual figures), each passed by about 95%. Meaning, if the limit was 100, it blew a 5. (hypothetically)

That explains some of the air quality around some of the bigger cities.

...and I thought LA was bad.

Wow, that's clean. My car gave 32 ppm of hydrocarbons (HC) with a Bonez superflo.
