wtf
wtf
whats up everyone, i just got my first fc and no lying, its a piece, my question is i was trying to replace the o2 sensor on the exahust manifold and the fu*kn wire harness just snapped off of the wire where it connects to the wire, this is on the side going to the brain, so can i just replace it with another wire or do i need to get another connecter, or what, please help, i just dont want to mess things up too much, thanks guys.
it broke off right after the connector, the green one is still intact but the wire broke off or the white part, i guess what i am asking is can i just make it straight wire without the connector or whats up with that. thaks again guys.
shielded?? does that mean the connecting harness is nessissary, i know i sound retarded but i really needed this **** tomorrow and didn't think that a thing like an o2 sensor would do this to me.
no what i am saying is i have the right wire to make a middle section to replace the connecting harness as a straight wire. i am not too lazy to go this is my daily and i have no other, a class and job interview tomorrow, and if i cant drive this bitch then i am somewhat fukd,

if someone could define shielded wire it would help me out, because unless the plastic connectors acted as a fuse or transistor ot block or amplify the ammount of current then repacing it with a straight peice of wire would get me to the dealership tomorrow. alot of people have something to say, but it seems like they really dont know **** either, i would rather have someone tell me off and give me an answer than have you ******** that know nothing leave pointless comments like...why do you even bother posting.
Could B that I know how 2 fix teh wire, how 2 replace teh sensor, AND that teh car will still run with a bad sensor and ur wasting ur money if u go 2 teh dealer lol. Could B that I also know u dont ever listen 2 what anybody says anyway so there is no reason to tell u teh answers if ur just gonna troll this forum. Could B also that calling people ******** dont get u no answers.
u shoudda listend 2 these doods

how cute of you, dude, the fact is i alredy did it, about 15 mins and it seems fine, so i can go to the dealer which isnt far and get the part, because you dont want to tell me what i was origionally asking, i thouht the point of forums was to help eachothr out,(hippie moment) all i asked for was someone to shed some light on the situation and laydown some options. i realize that those people posted that, after i had already traded my truck though. i am not trying to be a dick, i just get pissed when people try to make me look like an idiot because i dont know something, all i want is answers. like will having the o2 hooked up like that cause any problems, or if it needs to be replaced with a factory part. sorry for the blow up.
You don't need a functioning O2 sensor. The car is still perfectly drivable, you won't even notice it's not working. This means you have plenty of time to go to a parts store and buy a new sensor. A generic 1-wire sensor is all you need. The original sensor will be barely working anyway due to its age, so it's not work trying to repair. You will probably notice a small reduction in fuel consumption after fitting the new one (5% tops).
The wire from the sensor's plug to the ECU is shielded. That means it has a braid wire that wraps around the conductor wired, but is seperated from it. This is to protect the signal for interferance caused by the car's electrical system, so the ECU gets a clean signal.
