wont start why?

Hey whats up haent been around in a while, i went to start the fc after 2weeks of not getting to drive it and it wouldnt start, i turnd the key and can hear it trying to start but it just wouldnt get there. I held the pedal down and after about 1 min of cranking the key it turned on with a sputter and then it ran fine. i turned the ar off a nd it would start fine after, i thought it is a fuel pressure regulator but not sure, any ideas?

you probably have leaky injectors so that the fuel pressure slowly pump fuel into the chambers and when u start it it just kinda wash that **** down off of oil, amking it harder to start. so it is like miniflooding and ****

if it does that, try starter fluid next time, they make staritng easy

to replace all 4 you have to take the uim off, turbo or na, on na you need ot take hte midlde manny off too
you jsut unbolt that **** and bolt it back in.

i believe injectors could be had for around 50 for 4 to 100 for 4 dpeending if its na or turbo, makes ure you know if your car is a s4 or s5 and if its a s4, if its the low imp one or high imp one. you run wrong ****, your ecu takes ****.

88 would be s4 with the high imp injectors
what you could also try is sending the injectors in to have them clean it and get all the nasty and accumlated **** out. that would help and they coudl flwo test it and tell you if they are bad. it is also cheaper if you do it that way.
try your local shops to see if they offer inector cleaning, most machine shop can tell you where to go, orjust go to a diesel shop, those guys would def know

$50 for all injectors?!?! I think the quote I got from Advance Auto was near $500 for all injectors and that was with a discount. From Mazda I believe they are ~$600.

i was talking about used stock injector prices
we are fc owners, and there are 37 rich fc owners in the states
obviously, we arent one of them because we go to forum to hve our cars fixed
although there are the 3 rich fc owners that show up once in a while, but they are usually in suits and have better things to do

i would run the stock injectors. you can get them on the used section
that or just have your injectors rebuilt/cleaned, which is the best and most economical way if you ask me.
