won't start

won't start

ok it is a 87 it has been siting for a year or so it trys to start but just won't. Sounds like it is going to then does for about 30 sec to 3 min but not consistontly about ever 6 trys it turns. Blows white smoke out the pipes not sweet smeling. help please

well if it has been sitting, its probably low on compression.

sugestions on how to get it up and running quickly i will be seeing if it is flooded tomorrow and run that then try new plugs fuel filter new fuel and sea foam

As I said before, clear the flood, put new spark plugs in.

I'd probably also confirm the gas is good. If it is the same gas that has been sitting for a couple years, it's probably bad as well.

try the atf trick when installing the new plugs to add some compression

Don't use ATF. ATF eats seals. Motor oil also builds compression and does not eat seals.
