the O2 sensor wire should be near the Throttlebody and be a single Wire that has Braiding on it.With a Square type connector(male spade inside)..

On a TurboII car there are two grey in color shielded cables in the EM harness.

The O2 sensor is one of these. It has a black center conductor that terminates on one end at pin 2D and the other end at the connector for the 02 sensor.

The other grey cable is for the knock sensor. It terminates at the knock sensor bolted to the right hand side of the passengers foot well.

Are you saying you can't find the end of the 02 sensors cable the is NOT at the ECU? Probably. On my car the other end comes out the EM harness near the water thermostat neck.

Yeah, attach a jpg of it. But I kinda know that if you unwrap the harness trunk of the harness at where it comes out of the interior to the engine bay, there WILL be two grey, somewhat thick cables. One is for 02 the other is for the knock sensor. No way I can tell which is which.

You need to find the other end of the 02 sensor wire. It come out of the harness near the water thermostat area on MY CAR. Non turbo is different I believe. On non turbo it runs under the intake manifold/throttle body and exists near the top, right rear side of the engine. NOT that way on a turbo is my belief.

I've got a S5 N/A harness I'm using for a TII swap. Mine is of course a little bastardized with the swap, but mine is coming out around the same spot as Hailers...near the water thermostat. Coincidentally I'm getting ready to do some work on my O2 sensor and can take a pic in the AM.

Ok here's what I have. I hope it's usefull. My O2 wire comes out from the main harness right where Hailers said his does, by the water thermostat and upper radiator hose. I put my first and second finger behind the O2 wire. I was hoping it would stand out better.

The last picture is of the end of my O2 which got pinched off when the wire got bolted down between my UIM and my LIM. I'm going to start my own thread about my O2 wire getting pinched off and the shielding getting ruined. Hailers I'd love your input on that thread once I start it.

Here's some pics for comparison from a S5 N/A. It's my father's car that I'm driving while mine is needing work done. I may buy it from him as a daily driver while mine gets all the attention it needs.

I put some red marks on these pics to make the O2 wires and harness stick out more. The first pic the harness attaches just above the ACV. The second...IIRC shows the O2 wire coming out of the engine harness near the water thermostat and by the TPS.

Only mildly related, but I'm hoping Hailers could offer some help on this one. Here's a link to my thread on my own O2 wiring problems and a CEL
