window regulator question

My lift motors are both in good shape, but both the regulators are worn. does any body sell just the regulator? I've only found the entire motor and regulator together looked at mazdatrix and blackdragon. If I have to I got all winter to make my own out of uhmw and find a way to connect a better material to the string of *****. Would much rather find what I need then go threw the hassle.

I don't know of anyone who just sells the regulators. They look like they are pretty hard to get apart, anyway.
I actually have a pair of good known working motor/regulator assemblies for sale if you end up going that route.

RXxtraquick7 those photos are from the lift assemly for a vert totaly different from a coupe vert windows run on a cable system. Coupe has what sorry about this but from best description a long strand of **** beads attached to a kinda t shaped peice that rides in a track about the center of the window the t wears on each side over time.

you cannot rebuild ANY window regulator... you either buy JUST the regulator or JUST the motor.... if they come together, then very rarely can you swap out the old parts with new ones.... there is a reason why some regulators come with motors attached... i would say to just go to Mazda and order you a new one... you'll have a year warranty/12k miles, and it'll be a NEW part...

Mombodogs' writeup

Hey Mombodogs,

Can you give me a pointer to the Vert power window regulator rebuild writeup you made? The up cable broke and I'd rather not drop $375 for a new one.

Thanks!

Mombodogs

True, but unfortunately he doesn't accept PMs or emails so I am hoping he sees the thread or someone who is reading the thread and knows where Mombodogs has posted the writeup will post.
