Will a RB header bolt up?

Would the RB street header bolt up to the stock cat of a '90 'vert?

Or will I need to buy or fabricate something?

My pacesetter bolted right up to my catback, but its a s4 base. I don't know if it is different on a s5 vert.

The header is about 4" inches short of bolting up to the stock cat.

you can make an adapter to fill the gap or get a custom cat made.

That's why rb sells the presilencer - to fill up the rest of the space between the header and the catback.

I heard that the presilencer REPLACED the cat :-p

I think I'll cut the flange off the header and weld up something so it will fit. Just as long as it is too short.

Thanks for the info!

I concur. I'm planning on to welding in one of those car chemistry baffle devices in that adapter (if it fits).

if you read his post, he said that the presilencer fills the space between the header and the catback.... no mention of a cat between the header and the catback

Can I have an exact mesurement of the adaptor so I can lenthen the header before I send it to be coated at Jet-Hot? I'm driving the car at the time and buying new gaskets for fitment is a pain

the newer style pacesetter's bolt up to the stock main cat. i know pacesetter was garbage in the past but they seem to have done some refinements, im very happy with the one i bought recently. but if i had the cash i obviously would of gotten something like the rb or mindtrain one.

Just some follow up on this. I've since installed all the stuff and it was indeed around 4" too short. The pipe isnt 'streight' (it is actually slightly at an angle)

I decided against doing it myself. I hacked off the flanges from my old pre-cat and drove (open header! Weee! LOUD! HEADACHE!) to the exhaust shop and had them weld up an adaptor. Well, they looked at my main cat and said it was toast, so I told them just to use the flanges to make a streight pipe. So I'm waiting on UPS to get my highflow cat I ordered to my doorstep. Then I'll set up some pictures and mesurements for anyone else who wants to do this.
