Ummm.....Heatshield?

So my cars been stopped for a few days due to brake problems (hardy har...get it? ok i'm retarded). Anyways, when I was coming back from school, I see my car at a wide angle coming down the street and notice something pretty big under my car. I'm like, wtf is that....so i get beside the car, lay down, and look over to see this big piece of metal from my catalytic convertor being held on by hardly anything. I'm guessing its some sort of heat shield/rock guard, but basically i'm getting a full RB turboback, so should I be concerned about this thing?

Only if it falls off and shreds your tires. Take it off if it's about ready to fall off anyway, it obviuosly can't be doing any good like that right?

I don't think it a big deal(the bottom sheilding) unless you plan to consistently park on tall dry grass.

Actually, the underpan is there for a reason. It helps keep the air going through the radiator, and blocks debris from the road. Seriously, if you can make it work or get a new one cheap, I'd highly reccomend it, as the stock cooling system is designed for it to be there.

Cooling system? It looks like its just a piece of metal falling off the catalytic convertor and doesn't look like much is under it besides more covered metal.

Its not his underpan, he said it was just the shielding on the cat. No big deal, just rip it off.

Its already ripped off. It was hanging on by only a corner and it was like about to fall off on its own. I'm getting a new exhaust anyways, so no biggie.
