did you check the grounds for defroster (top of hatch shock) and the grounds for the motors on the top?. Poor grounding will result in excess current needed to work the devices and that will blow the fuse.

it blows most likely to a high amperage draw on the circuit get a a test light put it in place where your fuse keeps blowing on the fuse block the light should light and be bright i think now go and start unplugging the loads or devices in that circuit when your light goes out you have found your problem check grounds powers and look for any wiring that might be bare wire or shorting out now as for your switch it sounds like maybe a short to power so something is keeping it on or your switch might be broken i hope this helps i cant guarantee this will work but it worked for me in the past

Not trying to be down but my honest suggestion would be that you need to start paying others to do work for you or else buy a car that's easier to maintain.
How do you really intend to troubleshoot 20 year old electronics when you do things like this?

This is why:

Anyway, grab a copy of the FSM/Haynes and look at the wiring diagram. Find out where the fuse goes and start checking that circuit for direct shorts. Unplug things on that circuit like motors and switches and see if the fuse still blows. If it does, there is a wiring problem, perhaps something has rubbed through. If it doesn't blow, put on one part at a time until you find out what blows the fuse.

hey thanks aaron cake frijolee.. i do have a fsm.. found one at rx7city.com. anyway i unplugged my right and left motor. plugged the fuse in didn't blow... put the volt meter to the leads and everything was good. so i plugged my right motor in and all the wires had voltage. something tells me that i didnt test the right one correctly.. i plugged the right one in and the fuse didnt blow. so according to the fsm that lead me to the switch.
the weird thing is that i hear the relay click so i dont kno if its the motor or the switch.. i was told to check the f71 connector but i dont know where its located
off topic.frejole dude i was was sick when that happened i took meds and wasnt thinking correctly. we all make mistakes no matter how dumb they can be .. and the reason why i dont want no one else working on my car is because i actually want to learn how to find and fix the problems since im going to school for mechanics.

Fair enough. I'll be the first to admit that some lessons learned the hard way tend to stick in the memory banks.
Like the above gents said, you just start playing with a multimeter to narrow things down. Note: if you decided to get one with ampmeter capabilities be warned that you measure current in series but voltage in parallel. I've seen a lot of blown up meters from folks who got that wrong.

ok just an update to those who read this thread in the future.
im narrowing down the parasitic loss and the voltage drop and i think im 90% sure that its the switches that went bad on me because none of the wires are damaged im also 10percent sure that its not the motors...
do any of you know where the audible beep comes from? because like i said i hear the relays but nothing happens. anyway ill keep ting to fix. at least im getting close to figuring out my voltage drop and insufficient battery charge.
