Who wants to play; Guess the Mystery Hose?
Found it between the passengers side fender infront of the wheel, appears to be of air carrying type and seems to connect to a black cylinder under the head lamp, but I have no idea where the other end should go.. prolly not very important, but still a mystery. I have enclosed an artists rendering of the object and it's location.

I concur, its to baffle the noise when the air pump has produced air the control vavles do not need.

air pump muffler. If you still have the air pump and ACV you probably want to keep this. On the other hand, if you've removed them, you can chuck it. I never actually was able to get mine out of its hiding spot, so its still stuck up there, out of sight out of mind thogh.

I understand it's some sort of muffler, but the hose is the odd part it appears to attatch to the end between the fender and the other end is the mystery, and I thought the muffler part was in the engine bay?

The air pump "muffler" has 2 lines. One goes from the ACV to it and then the other tube is in the fender area to dump the air after its been muffled. Air goes to this when the ACV doesn't need it so that there isn't the PSSHHHH sound all the time.

Think of it this way, your air pump is always running, the ACV valve either directs the air to the main cat or it just dumps it out that pipe when its not needed. If you dont have to pass emissions and have removed your air pump you can remove it. Do some research searches first.

You can take it out without removing the air pump and ACV as well if you wanted. Before I removed all my emissions equipment (when I still had to pass) I was running with no ACV silencer, no big deal.
