Question Where is this vaccum should be connected to?

Hi everyone!

I almost assembled my car after swithching the bodies of two RX-7s after last serious accident... But i can't find where a vacuum from vacuum sensor should be connected to? See attachment for a pic... I remember that it should be connected to a lower intake maniold, but can't find the exact plug and can't understand nothing from vacuum wiring diagram :-(

Please help me with this!

Not sure about S5, but on my S4 it goes to a nipple thats on the LIM, right where the LIM and UIM meet, facing the passenger side.

On the S4 there is a nipple in the middle of the LIM, near the top, that's where the pressure sensor connects too. That particular vacumme line also has a restictor 'pill' in it. The original vacumme hose should have a bit of red tape wrapped around the end of the line that has the 'pill'.

trochoid, when i was replacing mine it had no pill, not sure what it is you are refurring too..

as for the nipple, it should be almost paralle to the air pump and towards the forward aux port auctator, just a bit above it.

that's from the pressure sensor, it should go into a T line with the other end going to the bypass valve, and the other end...ummmm, yeah i think to the LIM like said above

There was a post about this in the last week or so. It's not called a 'pill' in the FSM or the parts fiche, can't think of the proper term atm. Look in the FSM or find that thread, it will answer your question better than I can.

You don't need a pic. just listen to what has been said. There are four brass looking nipples that come out of the LIM. Two are pointing straight out and two are coming out at a 45° angle. The 45° angle ones are the ones you need. The one closest to the front of the car should be hooked to your sensor. The back one is plugged.

You can't easily see the nipple becuase your top radiator hose is bent backwards over the spot where the nipple is.
