What's my squeak?

Well I tryed to read through the post before I started this thread.
I could not find any ref. to the type of noise I am hearing.
I have an S5 Vert. that I think has got bad universal's, but I'm not sure.
I hear this sqeak or squeal when I am powering down on a gear(like down shifting) when I give it gas in gear (usually 1 st or 2nd gear)
it goes away.
I can also put it in neutral and coast and the noise completly goes away!?!?!?
Wont the universals always make noise if they are bad?
Could this be something in the rear-end, or thow-out bearing?
This car did sit for about 2 years before I started driving it 2-3 months ago.
Thank you guy's for any help you could throw my way.

Sounds more like the differential to me. Check the oil in the dif and while you're at it check the tranny too.
