How to stop the U-Joint's from squeaking?

Is there any way to stop the U-Joints from squeaking without replacing the drive shaft? I don't have any vibrations yet, and I'm just hoping to prolong the life of the shaft alittle so I can get my paint and body work done next week. The only time it squeaks is in reverse, or when I use the tranny to slow down instead of using the brakes (which I've all but stopped doing since the squeaks). Thanks for your help.

Hmm I'm told some types of Ujoints you can squirt greese into, but I don't think you can with these crappy Ujoints on our sevens... Maybe go under and try greasing up the edges of the ujoints?

are you sure it's the Ujoints squeaking ?

I about 80% sure it is the U-Joints. I've had the same problem with other vehicles, but they had the grease fittings you mentioned. I hope it isn't the tranny, but if it is I also have another one of those laying around as well. I will probably do a rebuild on it before I install it though, because I've never heard it run. The tranny itself doesn't make any noise at idle or with the clutch released, just alittle squeak when a load is on the car such as slowing or sometimes in reverse. Also when the car is in slowing I hear the squeak and I press the clutch it stops. It definately sounds like it is coming right beneath the shifter which is where the front U-Joint is.
