Question What would a HIGHER pressure RAD cap do?

This shop in my town has a Mazdaspeed RAD cap that's rated at 1.3bar pressure. I think my stock one is 0.9bar. I was thinking of buying it since it LOOKS COOL. What would a higher pressure rad cap do for me?

Higher Pressure

The boiling point of fluids is directly proportional to the pressure they are under. That is to say that the higher the temp, the higher the boiling point.

The pressure release also functions to allow for the coolant to overflow into the expansion tank when it is hot. This might cause you problems by over-pressurizing your system.

I can see no benefits to having a higher pressure cap with a stock system. If I were you I would forgo the Mazdaspeed cap and stick with a stock pressure cap.
