I found this MSD box in my car...

I have no idea what the heck it is... here, pics:

I can't even open it! The screws are some weird half-hex type... I have some hex drivers like them but not the exact size... looks like a star. Damn weird *** screws!

if there are only four wires... its not an ignition box.. looks like some type of voltage regulator or booster.....

 

it was in the car, but was it connected to anything or just sitting in the trunk?

 

BTW- those are Torx screws.

I think MSD used to stand for "Multiple Spark Discharge"
It turned your stock ignition's single shot into a burst of hits to the plug.

Josh has figured out it's most likely a Tach Adapter...

Which means I have no use for it... lesigh heh.
