What do you all think my FC is worth?

I'm contemplating selling it and wonder what you think it'll sell for? Link to some pictures and info in my sig. Over 10k in Audio and interior, 14k in engine and exhaust, 2k in suspension, 2 sets of wheels and tires both sets have less than 2k miles on em, original KS hood. Just lemme know what you think I could get out of it. No rust or dents. Needs a new paint job since the hood is still primered and the rest of the cars paint is starting to fade a bit.

10K?
12K?
15K?

damn nice rex man! I would say around 4k no it would be worth a lot in my oppinion the only problem is that most fc people (sometimes including myself) can be very very cheap and think that why would someone want a second gen for 10-15k if that is fd territory. But if you are going to sell it don't take anything less that 10k in my opinion.

oh by the way nice repu

Put down the crack pipe and step away slowly. You might get 6-7k for it.

I'm not cheap man...I'm simply stating what I think its worth. I can find similarly modded FC's on these forums all the time for around 6-7K.

I paid 6k for a mint absoluetly stock 88 turbo 2 with less than 50k miles on it, you might be able to get more money by selling the rims and audio stuff seperately. Maybe you could fetch 7-8k for it. Aftermarket stuff never pays off on resale.

did you see his car??? Very nice engine setup with just about everything you can put on for inprovments he's got.

ENGINE :

It's using FD rotors, 3mm Hurley Race Seals, a Turbonetics 62-1 .96 divided turbo with a custom made exhaust manifold. Tial 40MM Blow off Valve and Tail Wastegate. For spark It uses (3) Crane Hi-6 Boxes with the factory coils. I'm running (2) Greddy ND 550cc top feed injectors for the primary and (2) 1600cc Bosch top feeds for the secondarys mounted on a custom made fuel rail. This is all controlled by a Haltech E6K computer that is fully adjustable with a laptop.

The exhaust is 3" all the way back with an Apex single side catback setup.
The transmission is a stock 5 speed manual using a 9.5lb aluminum flywheel and an ACT street clutch.

The engine has been ported by Don Marvel to what most people would call a "Good" street port but Don doesn't call them that as he custom ports each motor to work with the components used and desired usage of the car. In my case I wanted a car I could cruise through town with, autocross once a month and hit the drags every now and then.

Should be a good reliable decent HP package.

SUSPENSION:

This is the Suspension and Brake Mods and Components Page. I'm pretty much finished with all the suspension and brake upgrades unless something comes up that totally blows me away. The Struts are Tokico Illuminas (5 way adjustable). The Springs are also Tokico and they dropped the car about an inch. I've replaced all the bushings with suspension specialties polyurithane bushings and that was one of the most bang for the buck mods I've done. It has really made a difference in the tightness of the handling and suspension noise has all but dissapeared. I'd recommend a polyurithane bushing upgrade to anyone fixing up their car. It was simple, inexpensive and made a very noticable difference. The Strut Tower bars in the front and rear really stiffened up the car and let the shocks do their work. I also have an undercarriage bar that ties the lower frame rails together. The slotted rotors and braided Stainless Steel brake lines are from Bonez. They work MUCH better than stock. More consistent braking feel and much harder bite without brake fade. I've also just installed a set of pillow ball mounts that allow me to adjust the camber.

SOUND SYSTEM:

TO much stuff to list just go here http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/315099/1

BODY:

again to much stuff to list but go here http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/315099/4

I think he already knows that seeing as how his total investment was over 30k and he is only asking 10-15k

FC owners generally do not care about audio, 10k for audio that *might* make your car worth 2k more. The car is sweet and all for performance and looks, you could probably get a solid 8500. I'd take most of the audio out of it, it won't make that big a difference.I'd Leave the TV though, people see a TV and their like "OMG it has a TV". 8k can fetch you a stock FD with 100,000mi.s

there a couple of rules when selling a car.....
1.you never ever get what you put into a car when u sell it(ever).
2.& second people dont like buying other peoples hooked up cars because as a buyer you never know totally what the seller put into the car & especially when theres engine worked involved.

Don't get me wrong, it looks like a hot *** car in the car in the picture & you got a lot of engine work done but your not gonna get 15k, 12k, or even 10k when you can go to the dealership & put a nice down payment on a mint condition FD. About your audio, you put alot of money in so what i suggest is just take it out & put it in your next car or when anyone comes to buy your car offer it to them for extra money........Just be like "Yo give me $2500 more & ill give you the beats that came with the car."

Yah I wouldn't say 10k worth of audio would make it go up a whole lot. I am too biting the bullet on this as I'm selling my SUV that has over 10k worth of audio work done to it, but oh well. We mod for what we want, not to expect to get money back on it.

That being said, with the right buyer I can see what you have going for around 9-10k, but finding that buyer might take a while.

Personally I'd keep it before selling it for 6-7k and I'd put it at like 10k.

I'm just wondering, why would you want to sell such a nice car that you obviously put lots of work into?

P.S. the guy with 1 of 10 black GTUs in 1990 is a bastard for going turbo. :P

Everybody has there own reasons as to why they want to sell their car (property).

Greg, I too have contemplated selling my car. It took me two weeks to come up with a parts list with prices. I spent an hour (atleast) typing It In and as I was ready to hit the return button to send my Info Into space - I backed out. I'm glad I did this. Now, I have a restored faith with my car and It's going to surpass my biggest Intentions with what I want(ed) to do with It.

Anyway, you have a solid setup and I atleast hope your FC goes to someone who pays attention to detail as you do...so don't do It.

Well I was just tossing around the idea. I paid 6.5k for it factory unmolested. I knew I would not get near out of it as what I have invested. Wife has been pressuring me to sell it so I figured I'd see what people thought it was worth. I'll tell her what everyone said and just plan on keeping it. I've got it just the way I want it cept for paint, that'll be comming soon.

I've got the FD sold already to a guy in Marines when he gets back in January. That should help quiet down the wife as well.

Not too many FC fans anymore it seems, with everyone preferring to 'upgrade' to stock FD rather than pay decent money for a highly modded FC.

Just wait until the Live Action Initial-D movie comes out...then people will be all over FC's
