Well shoot

Today sucked. Crawled under the 7 for the first time, and wow, is it ugly. I'm surprised the floor's still there at all. The entire interior has to come out to. To top it all off, my driver's side seat won't come out, the bolts are rusted right in there. Pass side came out alright though. Even the fricken front/back adjusting lever on the front of the seat broke off, right in my hand, fawker. Also, I couldn't get it started to get it up on the ramps, turns out someone installed a kill switch that I didn't know about, and I had accidentally turned off. The PO neglected to inform me of that. Great.

I don't mind gutting the interior to have the work done, its just frusterating that the damned seat won't come out. The passenger side came out like butter, but the driver's side just won't budge. I just gave up for tonight, and all 4 bolts are now soaking in penetrant. Let's hope this works.

por-15 seems to be nice on rust treatment. if i found rust under the carpet i'd probably clean off the biggish stuff as well as i could and then coat the entire thing with it.

I think I had to hammer on a 13mm socket to my rusted floor bolts to get them out.

Well shoot- pt 2

Finally got the driver's seat out this morning. Had to break the heads off of the rear bolts. as it happens, there's not much left of the driver's seat rear mounts, on either the seat or the floor. Upon closer inspection for the floor, its nasty, and will need to be welded in SEVERAL spots. I'm hoping this doesn't cost me an arm and a leg.

My old rx7 was a beater special everything was rusted and it was about 3 diff colors i dealt with it as the engine ran great until i lost the radiator if they havn't maintained the body i'd be sure to check the radiator for leaks they do not take well to overheating at all just a small over heat will blow that engine like no tomorrow

Question parts of the frame on mine or support strut or w/e it is is rusted through but the car is still in one peice could i replace those and it not effect the performance of the car as far as it going straight down the road or would it be a hard feet?
