weird *** noise.

OK. my car makes the wierdest noise in the world.
it doesnt do it at cold start or when the car is just shut off after being at operating temps. it only does it when the engine has cooled down a little bit but is still hot.

it makes the loudest screetching\"beeping" sound, and when i pop the hood its almost deafining, it doesnt do it when i give it gas. after i say about 5 or less minutes of driving it, it just stops doing it. its the wierdest ******* thing ever. it doesnt sound like the belts slipping either.

i intially though it was my new TID rubbing on the belt, but its definately not that, its got at least an inch clearance....

it started doing this, i'd say last saturday, its the wierdest thing ever, and im stumped to ****.

any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

After the car is fully warmed up shut it off and then before it starts the noise squeeze the upper radiator hose. You'll probably start to here that sound... maybe not as loud though. I've had it happen to me before but it may be a different issue. Try it out and see what happens.

No not very loud at all. Very quiet and only happened very occasionally. Sounded like a high pitched squeak and sometimes a groan.

its not that... try to see if its the radiator like he was saying, i have heard of that before on a chevy v6, something to do with pressure build up...
