Hey man bad grammar doesn't make your car lighter.!!! why all the weight loss? You turbo or not? don't focus on general weight but reciprocating mass, and all other parasitic type weight.

every ten lbs reduced is 1unsprung HP....so you still have to find a way to use that mass...

maybe every 20 horsepower.

theres a lot of stuff you can remove that you dont really need.
1.sound tar
2.AC
3.rear speakers
4.OEM amps
5.OEM radio is uber heavy
6. rear wiper
7.front and rear wiper fluid tanks
8.cold start assist
9.cruise control...actuator/computer
10.useless crap on your throttle body
11. air pump mufflers
12.air intake
13.lighter mufflers/piping
14.auto adjust suspension
15.unneeded wiring going to the rear of the car
16.power steering
17.air pump (if possible)
18.clutch fan (get e-fan)
19.lighter battery
20.spare tire
21.tools
22.sunroof motor (manual convert that bitch!)
23.FC bumper supports are bulky as hell, its up to you if you want your gas tank ruptured or your engine bashed in though...
24.power antenna

1.CF/FG hood may save 10-20 pounds depending on what hood you have now
2.TII hood is lighter than NA/steel
3.CF or fiberglass fenders may save a couple pounds (fenders weigh about 5 pounds each so this would be a waste of money...
4."racing" seats are about half the weight as stock

my suggestion would be to remove as many things that you can comfortably, then concentrate on relocating other items to the center of the car.

1.overflow tank to fuse box area instead of front bumper
2.i kept my spare and tools, i moved my tools to the cargo boxes.
etc etc
relocating the battery is a good way to center the gravity a bit more but the added cable weight deletes its purpose a little.

well for n/a FCs, its 2800/160= 17.5 lbs/hp so every 17.5 lbs lost feels like 1 hp gain. So if you lose the interior (est 100lbs max?) its like you gained only 5 hp

If you didnt already, use a chisel and ballpeen hammer to get up all the sound reduction tar lining the floor/hatch. Dry ice or canned air(upside down) will help alot. Just be careful on the tranny tunnel its thinner than the rest and easy to put a chisel through, ask me how I know.

Dont waste your cash on a cf hood its only a couple pounds lighter than a n/a aluminum hood.

As for that so far my weight reduction goes as folows:
aluminum hood
remove wiper and motor from hatch and plug hole
remove a/c and p/s systems entirely including condensor infront of radiator and parts under dash
remove wishield fluid botle from fender and place smaller one (FROM REAR) against firewall
i bought convertible bbs wheels which only weight 11lbs each
I know theres more but Ill get back to you when I rememebr them

It all adds up though.

I stripped down my fb. I even spent an entire weekend scraping
off an esitmated 60-70 lbs of asphalt soundproofing. According to
the public road side scale, the car went from 1080kg's to 970kgs.
That's roughly 10% of the entire car's mass. While it did yield nice
results it wasn't earth shattering in get up and go. But, what it did
do was make braking and corning insane. Less mass, less lateral G's,
less bouncing off of a guardrail.

A 10% increase in hp:weight ratio is not a bad thing, but I'd not ruin a good
condition car to do it.

yeah my cars reallly gutted with 1 seat, you can remove over 200 lbs of stuff if u add it all up.

i was weighing the items i removed for a while and i had a few boxes weighting close to 50 lb each that were full of junk. theres over 200 lbs u can remove.

I drive this car on the street all the time but it is more setup to be a race car.

its great with 1 seat no more freinds tring to bum rides!! haha

but I do keep my full interior s5 with all the luxury items as more of a DD.

Going with your s5 n/a with no other mods except weight reduction. It would be more like 6 hp.

2714.5 / 165 = 16.5
2714.5 - 16.5 = 2698 +1 hp
Now when people go for weight reduction, they arn't removing the rear wiper for a 100 hp increase. They are chasing the last few hp they can out of a vehicle. So now lets imagine he has enough mods to hit 200hp

2718 / 206 = 13.2
2718 - 13.2 = 2704.8 +1 hp
Now we have 7 more hp still 7lbs heavier than the last example. I know there's more than 100lbs you can remove from the car and still keep it comfortable. With vert seats my car weighs no more than 2550lbs empty. With my big stereo, couple bags of clothes, full storage bins, trash, and my g/f and me in it, it weighed 3927lbs. Alot of what I have removed was rotating mass as well. Put my vert wheels on it. Alternator/waterpump are the only things belt driven. E-fan ect. I've spent lots of time chasing the last few hp first before porting my engine. I may have done it reverse, but how things play off eachother (eg, look how weight reduction works better with more power) I am able to feel a very slight difference in just about everything I do.
