Water/alcohol injection, please clarify some things

maybe a dumb ? but has anyone had experience using Nitromethane, you know RC car fuel, it somewhat cheap and is said to be:
"It acts as a fuel too, but the molecule carries oxygen along with it. In a way, nitromethane is sort of like a chemical "supercharger" for an engine. It helps get more oxygen into the engine to help burn more fuel and produce more power."

FORGET YOU EVER MENTIONED THAT. I would not recommend running Nitromethane in a rotary. It is VERY violent fuel, and the nitro is a VERY hot burning fuel. I have TONS of rc racing experience, and you do not want to run this in your rotary.

J - where do you get it for $10 per gallon? I like to use that stuff to clean up everything. It works well on most plastics, and pretty much anything that needs cleaning. I know I paid about $13 for a quart at Home Depot last week.
If you are happy with your system, then by all means, don't change. If you get 2 months out of a gallon, and you are getting sufficient power.. Congrats.
I'm not saying that running pure race fuel is an exception to this system. I was referring to the fact that (if it were $30 per gallon) running 93 instead of 87 could be another option. You are talking about a difference of only $5-6 per tank.

Per aquamist FAQ
"4. Would screenwash additive damage the aquamist pump?
Our water pump is safe with most forms of alcohol. The screen additive normally contains a mixture of 5% detergent, 5% glycol and up to 50% of alcohol (methanol, ethanol or iso-propanol), the rest is water. "

Jess is right, its a cheap convenient solution for street car guys.
Buy it and top off when your at the pump. to those who want to carry around extra containers of methanol and/or water/meth mixes at whatever percentage go right ahead.
Those with the lazy gene can benefit from using the pre mixed completely safe form from our local gas stations for around a dollar.
