Wanting to Make Headlights Stationery

Hey Guys. New to the forum and the whole RX thing here. I currently drive a Toyota Celica All-Trac (Maybe you've heard of it maybe not ) Just recently added an FC vert to the collection and I was wondering if anyone knew how to make the headlights come on in the closed position?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. And as a sidenote why do owners of the N/A rx-7's swap TII motors as opposed to turbocharging the N/A one? Is there some vast difference between the two engines? Reliability issuses etc?? Thanks in advance.

Lance

I noticed there's a switch that will open and close the lights without them being turned on. But they won't stay down and on... I know on 240's etc. you have to play with the motor itself on on celicas it's a fuse issue to get them to halfway (sleepy). same for the rx or no?

You won't get much light out of them through the flash-to-pass lenses, they are not intended to light the road up. There is a kit that puts some type of projector or halogen beam in there, I think.

You could always just unplug the motors

And also, in reference to turbo'ing an NA, read this: http://www.aaroncake.net/RX-7/naturbo.htm

Celica All-Trac Eh? I heard a guy was trying to put a 7M in a sixth gen A/T, and still maintain AWD... Know anything about it? Heard about it or anything?

Pull the retractor fuse on the Fuse block In the engine bay. That will Cut Power to the Headlight motors, and they won't go up..But as Stated, you won't get much Light out of the FTP's...there are JDM FTP's(e,i,e,i.Oh!..haha..letters!).they have little bulbs in them that make the FTP's light up..

Follow the instructions in my writeup already provided. That allows you to modify the lights to say on while down, yet DOES NOT effect any other headlight operation. It's by far the safest way to do this.
