Vtec AFC
Anyone know if you can use a vtec S-AFC an an rx-7 just the same as a regular one, just not use the VTEC functions (duh)?
I assume it's the same unit with just the extra vtec controller.

The VTEC is honda specific, so the AFM, and other sensor signals might be honda specific, which would make it not work. If you have one already/can get one for free, you might as well try it. But if youre talking about buying one, dont bother. The regular S-AFC is cheaper too.

That almost makes sense....
What do you mean? Given the fact that you didn't give any specifics I will assume you are just messing around or something.

I have heard a lot of pretty pitiful comments about Wicked7. Not too many people are imressed by him- got a lot of PM's about it after this last post. I don't know him, but oh well, every forum has their designated idiots. I guess he is ours.
Why dont you just put a big Vtec sticker on the side of your car it should work then. Sorry couldnt resist
. I have to agree with mazdaspeed7 on this one it is probably programed differently for a vtec car and also has different functions. (gives some tunability to vtec or so ive heard).

Cool, just curious-
I was wondering just in case I could get a VTEC version for cheaper.... why not try. They seem to be in less demand.
If I got that honda-specific part I would also have to do the following-
1)Blue LED washer fluid jets
2)Big ground scraping muffler to make it sound like a radio controlled plane
3)"Powered by Honda" seat belt shoulder pads (20 HP easy)
4)Big huge sheet metal spoiler from on top of a semi truck cab
5)Get rid of my springs and let my car ride on the bumpstops (because I don't think the factory suspension geometry is there for any particular reason...)
6)Blue LED's on everything else.
