Supermac, Now that chuck is making the bumpers, why not be a good sport and put in your deposit. And be number 9 or 10 for the bumpers. Let me know what you decide to do.

Yeeeeaaaa!!! About time everyone.

So, just to confirm, what can we expect as far as timeliness of receiving the bumpers? If the first one will be done by March 1st, and the rest take approximately 1-2 days each, those of us in the middle should have ours shipped to our door by the 2nd-3rd week in March...correct?

schedule and pricing

Initial D FC (Chris) is shipping out a 2nd gen bumper to me on Monday. I should receive it in a week. After that, we will mold the GTC bumper onto the stock 2nd gen bumper. Test fit that bumper on a 2nd gen to make sure everything fits nicely and then we can make a mold out of that modified 2nd gen bumper. The whole process will take about 1-2 weeks. The first bumper should be popped out of the mold in early March. And then about 1 bumper per day. (You have to wait for the bumper to be cured inside the mold before popping it out). According to that pace, by the end of March, everyone on the group buy list will receive their bumper.

The bumper will be available for ordering later on. I haven't figure out a price for individual sale yet. But I think we can do a 2nd run of group buy later on if there is enough interest on it.

Chuck

I wonder if we could talk Chuck into designing a sharp looking 4 headlight unit (non-pop up, smooth type) to go along with the bumper? Just need a fiberglass housing, 4 lights and a clear cover. Could be possible to make without too much trouble.

After 20 seconds of reflection on that post I think it could look extremely cool with 4 lights and no clear cover. Just sunk in or something. Be different.

I know a lot of you want a flush light kit like those on the FD. I will look into that later. Gotta finish the stuff on hand first. BTW, I am still trying to find someone with a FC in the LA area for me to test fit the 2nd gen gtc style bumper once the prototype is made. Any volunteer? Great discount on the GTC style bumper if you need one or I will just pay you $100 for your time. No one?

maybe if you read the thread before you posted in it, you wouldn't have to ask us this.

I'll buy one if you use my 2nd gen to test fit it and let me get $100 off.

If you still want to get in for the group buy, email me at rotaryextreme@aol.com. Make sure you read that group buy page first before you make a decision. I dont' want any misunderstanding. And also $500 does not include the lights. Those 99 combo lights are $340 a pair. Thank you.

Forgot to tell you guys that we already got the 2nd gen stock bumper sent by Initial D FC. Everyone should thank him for that. He does a lot for this group buy. We are working on the prototype right now. Once it's done, I will post some pictures on the website. Thank you.
