looking at the bottom one i think it'd look reeeaallly good with clears or half clears taken off of an SW20 MR2 or an NSX. i voted for the 99 FD though

they both have very slick lights up on the front bumper

When you vote, don't forge the 99 spec combo lights are $390 a pair at this time. I am talking to a new source and hopefully I can get it down to $300-350 a pair. If there are enough people interested in both the 99 spec version or the stock signal lights version, both versions will be offered. I need 10 people for each version. Also, on the 99 combo lights, the orange light is signal and the clear one is not fog light, it's just regular city light. The fog light in the middle fo the mouth is just the regular 93-95 OEM fog lights. Those do not come with the 99 spec lights. Hope that will clear some confusion. I am taking deposit now for the bumper. Paypal deposit is $265.25 and the bumper will be sent to your verified paypal address. Money order deposit will be $250 and the bumper can be sent to any address you want such as home address or bodyshop or your friend's address if you want to give it to him as a gift. Email me at rotaryextreme@aol.com if you want to make a deposit. In the email, don't forget to mention which GTC version you want, either the stock signal lights or the 99 spec lights. I want to end this Group Buy by 1-7-02. If I don't have enough people by then, this group buy will be off and it will not be mentioned again. I don't have waste my time for something that's not going to happen and I think you don't want to waste your time either. So make that deposit now so I can get this rolling. Expected date for the final product should be out between Feb and March 2002.

will there be any fiber glass work needed to be done?

rotaryextreme 12-18-01 07:08 AM

No. All you have to do is to get your bodyshop to put it on and paint it.

Ok guys, I just sent my deposit!!! Now its your turn, I hope everyone follows through too...

HOZZMANRX7 12-18-01 12:13 PM

OMG

That front bumper on the 2nd Gen looks like a cross between the Batmobile and something from weirder than science.

I just gotta cut back on my sci fi.

tIIforever 12-18-01 12:19 PM

how people are in this for sure because this might be my christmas present

neofreak 12-18-01 12:48 PM

I was thinking about getting one with the 99 Lights, but subtract my vote, I'm going to get a genuine RE FC2000 front/sideskirts, and I guess if this comes out I'll have to choose another kit for my FD.

Yes, I'm being elitist, but oh well.. I want to be somewhat unique.

tIIforever 12-18-01 12:52 PM

oops i meant how many people are in for sure

The GTC with 99 spec looks sooooo badass.... so it would be 800-900 depending on where you got the lights... the old style lights look pretty :gay on that bumper though. I totally want one but it would probably be approaching 1300 fitted and painted...

Kurgan 12-18-01 04:57 PM

Damnit!! This is too hard. I like the 99 spec lights... even though I don't want to spend the money for the lights... I think that I'm going to have to go with them. I just thought of something though... will the 99 spec lights look gay with the stock headlights turned on? I just can't picture it in my head... but I'm thinking it may look fruity. Has anyone seen anything like that before? thoughts?

Also, my vote is going to the 99 spec lights. But, I do like how I made the intake slot above the IC in the 2nd picture... its longer and looks better IMHO. What do you guys think of that?

And finally... if I send a deposit and the but does not go through, what will happen with my money?

No7Yet 12-18-01 07:45 PM

I'm in, and I've emailed rotaryextreme@aol.com, but not gotten a response.

Basically, I want the stock lights because $400 is WAY too frickin' expensive. THOUGH, I would be willing to buy a 99-spec-light bumper, if included were some plexiglass inserts that could cover the hole until I shell out the $$$.

My $0.02

Here is the deal

For those of you who are ready to make a deposit. I set up a page on my website for this group buy. I am having two versions of the bumpers there, one using the stock signal lights and one uses the 99 one. If you want to make a deposit on the bumper, make sure you click on the right "add to cart" button. I will add more details to the website later such as details on shipping, approx date of delivery and refund if it does not happen. For people who wish to make a deposit using a check or money order, send me an email or just fill out the order form on my site. Click on "ordering" and click on "I agree" then you can go to the order form. More updates later. Gotta get to work now.

I dont like the thin hole above the IC.
and would look better with none pop up head lights

how big is hole for the IC ?
if you could do like this but take out the turn singnals and use the 99 spec ones that would rock

Jef Card 12-19-01 04:13 AM

Wow that is definitly the most creative and ingenious Idea yet :D

I like the idea of molding the bumper like it is on the Border Kit so the headlights can stay down.

http://www.corksport.com/rx7/pictures/2rx8040.jpg

I'll Find Eric's Car and add the Bumper from the top pic to see how it will loook

Jef Card 12-19-01 04:42 AM

Here is Erics car with the Border Bumper Licghts grafted with RotaryExtremes Bumper :)http://www.rx7forum.com/attachment.php?s=&postid=298769

87GTR 12-19-01 04:55 AM

I say lose that thin slit above the IC and open the ic mouth to the where that slit is at.

87GTR 12-19-01 04:57 AM

is it going to have molding on the side to match 88 or 89 or no moldings at all?
