I really like this design.

but... are there any more pics of that? From what I see if the headlights are down they protrude further than the hood does, so is this new front that this thread is based on.
1. a direct copy of the one shown in the image above or is it going to have that same headlight protrusion?
2. how much of the fenders are going to be cut?

Also how much lower is this new front going to be? It looks like a speedbump scraper from what I've seen so far.

!!!!!!WARNING!!!!!!

Please read the first post in this thread, and also go check out the link to rotary extreme.

This isn't a thread to determine which body kit you like most, it's for people who are planning to be part fo the group buy to vote on which type of turn signals they want, or if they have questions about the group buy. Currently there are three people who have paid their money and are part of the buy, and there are three pages of posts and way more then 3 votes.

Personally I can't afford to buy a new front now, but if this group buy goes through I'll be able to buy one in the future, and hopefully otherpieces. Chuck at Rotary Extreme is the only shop that I've heard of that is actively trying to come out with new pieces for our cars. He's allready got a page for the group buy setup that very clearly states what they plan on making, and what our choices are, and what type of commitment level is needed to see everything happen, and yet people continue to post pictures of different bodykits, and compare the size of different slits from different photoshop pics.

If you want to talk about cool body kits there's a "New Thread" button.

Re: !!!!!!WARNING!!!!!!

Duh, but I've checked the rotary extreme site and I've emailed them but I didn't get any response.

straight from the site:
'After the bumper is made, we will fit it on a 2nd gen to show buyers the fitment. We will make sure it fits nicely and we will have photos to prove it.' There was no other info about the fitment, just that the front might be altered a little to fit the curves of the fc.

I contacted them and I posted what I wanted to know hoping that maybe someone else knew what I couldnt find out. Maybe I should have typed that I emailed R. E. but I replied to this thread at about 2 am last night. sorry I was tired. I didn't want to get anyone rialed up.

I might be able to scrounge up enough $ to get a deposit down but I wanted to know how it was supposed to fit. If the kit is a copy of that image there's alot more then just bolting the front on.

I think I like the stock bumper lense the best...too bad I can't afford to buy one of these sweet *** bumpers. The FD one comes in a close second on my list.

4 pre orders so far. Just go to the website to see how many people are on the list right now. It's updated everytime someone makes a deposit. Thanks.

There's probably a bunch of people waiting for 9 others or 8 others or however many to commit befoe they send in their money. I remeber at least 15 or so people saying they'd send in money for this style front, in the original posting.

I just mailed off my M.O. this morning so that makes 5. If you are wanting it go ahead and get it don't wait for others to buy in. If everyone waits for everyone else then no one will be getting it. 500.00 is a great deal on a sweet looking nose. Remember you don't have to come up with the other 250 for a couple of months.

Exactly, right now its just a $250 dollar buy in for an amazing looking front end. And if everyone waits till there is almost 10, then all of a sudden there will be 5 more people buying in. I can see what you guys are thinking, but we only have 1 week until deadline, and if everyone waits till there is 8 or so, then its not gonna happen... And if this front end doesnt work out, then there will be no hoods, sideskirts, anything... Chuck promised more parts if we show commitment on this group buy. And judging by everyones response in the beginning there are more than 1 or 2 waiting to send their money... Dont wait! Send it before its too late!

I think the 99 spec gives a much needed modern look to the front of the FC. Oh, and the border front end helps also.

I like the border, it just seems a bit extreme (big) .

It would probably look better with some type of divider, like almost all grilles have. Just my $.02

I voted for the 99 spec, even though I dont really like the deep throat look of the Border on an FC

The large opening is just fine. Brings much needed cool air to the intercooler up front. If you still have the top mount it still looks cool and you'll be set when you do get a front mount. = )

Can't hurt the radiator/oil cooler either!
