Vert speakers

I got this 90 vert a few months ago. did all S5 vert have speakers in back of the seats. I looked at the FSM and didn't see them. I only saw the door/headrest speakers. Anyone know what size they are?

the most 89+ verts had speakers behind the seats, but all 89+ verts had headrest speakers (the 88 was the only year where head rest speakers were optional).

The speaker behind the 'vert seat has a nice big enclosure . . .
. . . but it is a four inch speaker! (Not a bad one for an OEM sound system tho! Made by Pioneer too.)

The door speakers, I belive, are 6.5, the rear is 4, and the headrest are these scary little squares, but I modified mine to fit some nice Infinity Kappa 3.5s

Yeah, There isn't much you can do about getting speakers to fit nicely in the headrests... Tried BB and Circut City... neither of them shows that the car even has speakers in the headrest.....

Uh, dude. The STOCK speakers are 4 inches. He was asking about the stock speaker sizes. Not really what you CAN cram back there :-p

I had 6x9s back there too. But I swapped them back out for the stock system, cuz get this, I think the stock system sounded better
