Does any one know where to purchase a hood for the 2nd gen? I am looking for a hood that has the Evo styl, not really sure how to describe it kind looks like somewhat a V in the front the vent does. Lot of hondas have them. I saw a few 2nd gens with them but dont know where they got them. anyone have any input?

Anything that, a lot of Honda's have, you DON'T WANT. But uh, you're gonna have to buy a hood scoop, and custom mold it into you're hood. Apparently, things that lots of HONDA'S HAVE, manufacturers for FC's don't make. Now, FD's are another story..

 

well the hood im talking about its a bit different that just molding a hood scop on there. I only mentioned honds cause cause it was an example. I have seen Rx7 with this type of hood but they never mentions where they got it from.l I am guessing they has to be a company that offeres them.

 

A hood outflow vent is usually only helpful in a high power FMIC setup.

Yea thats the hood. Do you have any without the center line in there? Do you know what I mean. makes it look like two vents. Either way is that the fiberglass hood or Carbonfiber hood? Pretty pricey. But very nice looking for sure.

domestically available vented hoods for FC are few are far between, try contacting raceonusa for their Dmax hood or autoRnD is supposed to have one coming out pretty soon. I have pics of it, but i'm not letting the cat out of the bag yet if they haven't themselves.

 

5one5 innovations up in Canada makes one..haven't heard if theyre still selling them but a few months ago they just went into production...Don't exactly have any contact info but I'm sure u can google it lol

 

Yes i knew that wasnt a 7 even thought when looking for 7 stuff it was titled the same way. Im guessing cause of lights. but eithe way I was only using the pic as a example.

So far.. thats the only one I've seen that i really liked!!

I had cut up a N/A hood and was working on my own to be molded.... and, after three weeks of work, fiberglassing, sanding, putying... I was working on a ladder rigging up a pulley system so that i could work on the underside without having to flip it over....... and fell through it.... I gave up and will buy one as soon as i get ready to paint the car!!!

Yeah dude.... I was SOOOOOOOOOOOO friggin pissed... It took me a minute or two to GET OUT of the hood cause it folded up around me..... And i was throwin **** around and then i looked and my neighbor was LAUGHING HIS *** OFF.

Then I realized how funny it must have looked to see my cro-magnon *** take a header into the hood and watch it fold up around me like a taco!!!!!

I actually wish i had it on video....

 

I so wish I knew you had this before I ordered a hood back in May which I still haven't recieved.

 

This is one reason its hard to find parts for a FC.

i'll prolly end up buying the cheap honda airvents and make a custom vented hood similar (actually a bit better) than this one.

 

You might be able to find a hood from Bomex, I know they make a body kit for the FC you might be able to find the hood you want from them. I dunno how expensive they are though.....

 

I make hoods on a custom basis for now, too busy to really produce, soon I hope to free up some time and to finish off the rest of my projects and new hood, and yes HeliumRush your hood should go out this week, I am finishing it off, and for this reason I am not taking many more orders.
