Vacuum leak tester

Checked for vac. leak as discribed by NZ Convertible. ( Thanks for that NZ.) Air pressure in intake duct. Will our engines hold air pressure with out leaking? If so how many psi?
Found bubbles around upper injectors. Still hear air escaping but I have not located more bubbles yet. Any ideas or thoughts.

Reman. s5 vert. Idle issues.
Thanks

Get some vac hose.
Hold one end to your ear & probe around with the other end.

You can seal the injector heat insulator grommets with small O-rings.

no they will not hold pressure, there is a metered air leak past the rear of the secondary throttle plates at the thermowax, as well the rotors will not hold air very well so expect to see some normal pressure drops.

Yes they will as long as all of the intake ports are closed. It's simply a case of turning the e-shaft until that happens. As I said in other threads, it only took a couple of psi to clearly hear the leak I had.

Found bubbles around upper injectors.
Bubbles? Are you spraying something around?

Completely wrong. Like I said, as long as the intake ports are closed the entire intake system will hold pressure. I've done it, it works.

Turn the e-shaft until the intake system holds pressure.
