using carb/choke cleaner as starter fluid
hey iv ebenn using carb and choke cleaner to start-up my rebuild since i got ti back. the builder used the same stuff, then today someone gave me a lecture about it saying itills **** up the internals. Please just reassure me that its ok.
maybe for one or 2 starts but using it on a regular basis is not good. it srips all the lubrication off of the internals during cranking so obviously it is not good to use on a regular basis.

why not just drive around in it alot, just add some miles to help the break in?

If the rebuild was done correctly it should start without carb cleaner or starting fluid. If you suspect its not turning over fast enough you might need more than a battery. If your engine builder has to use carb cleaner or starting fluid on ever rebuild I'd consider someone else on your next rebuild. Occasionally you might need a little help but not on ever engine.
Its not every time i start it, its just after sitting 3-4 days in the cold. IS that not normal? Once Ii run it for the day, it will start up no problem the rest of the day and sometimes the next morning if i ran it the night before. It was rebuilt with brand new housings and mazda seals. You think it will get better when I install my msd?
