Since it's a non turbo, and if it will idle, you might try disconnecting the tps plug and see if it will now rev over two grand.Someone else can tell you where the tps plug is.
Personally......I would not own a non turbo with an automatic. The engine did not put out enough power for an auto in my opinion. Others feel differently.
Then again three fifty is chump change and it might be a somewhat fun project to play with.......not to drive though. Sorry, predjudiced against automatic transmissions among other thiings.
Then again maybe the fellow has the sparkplugs on *** backwards?????? The front coils wires can go to EITHER of the lower sparkplugs. The rear coil assy plugs must go where they are meant to go. The most fwd wire on the coil to the front top plug and the rear wire on the coil assy goes to ..............(fill in the blank).
