Update on my project

Well, it's been about two years on this damned project, i've been mostly playing with my NA as of late, but I finally started the rebuild of my GXLII. Anyway, I finally tore it all apart and am cleaning and rebuilding it as we speak (not to mention porting the thing with no templates to go by, so we'll see how that goes) Anyway, just thought i'd post some pics of everything. Alright, here we go!

Here it is about a month ago, all assembled and looking like it actually does something.

I hate stock exhaust

And here's what it looks like as of today...

My rotors after soaking for about 12 hours (need to go through the parts cleaner to get the remaining residue off)

Sweet. Are you gonna have the time to put it back together soon. I hate it when I get a project half done and don't have the time to finish it.

Are you gonna rebuild the whole engine yourself?

Yeah, that's what I'm doing now. In the process of porting/cleaning everything, then time to reassemble! And I've got until January before I've got anything going on, so I've got a bit of time to spare to work on it. I want it running by October 1st though. Don't see why I can't hit that goal. Should have a BNR stage 3, 4x720's, better exhaust, and a rising rate fpr, along with the fmic installed. Hoping for 300rwhp

Nice, I have 2 weeks till my fall quarter starts. Need to finish bondoing and primering before then. Having nothing to do but work on the 7 is the life.

Except when the 7 abuses you and the cost to fix it exceeds the ammount of money in the wallet (such as was my case, hehe)

I think that, since I have a bigger credit limit, I would gladly accept the challenge....

And as far as porting goes...I am a dummy.

I just got my intermediate housing today, got the 2 end housings earlier this week. my bridge templets are in the mail, dremel within a week. All i need is one more S5 n/a rotor and some rotor housings and im set

Looks good, are you just freestyling the exhaust ports?

Yep, 100% Freestyle. S-AFC, walbro, rising rate fpr (gotta get), and 4x720 injectors.
