Turbo's

I wanted to know if I could tune the s-afc to my stock turbo at 10psi and then just swap it out with a hybrid? Or would I have to retune the S-afc with the new turbo?

Also Iv read that I should tune the s-afc to the highest amount of boost I will run. So if I tune it to 12psi, how will it run at 10 and then even lower at 8? Can that be done? Would it be better to use the memory settings on the s-afc and tune lower boost and high boost then switch between the 2? (the s-afc is the ver2)

Thanx for any help you guys could offer!

Yes you can do that....especially if you want to conserve on the gas.

what exactly does a s-afc unit do? Does it only control air/fuel ratio? is it like a wideband o2 sensor?
thanks

1. no you would have to retune it. and most likly need bigger injectors as well. I doubt you could run 10psi on a hybrid with stock injectors.

2. there is no point to change it. tune it for full boost (12 is pushing it with stock injectors and turbo). running less will be fine.

S4. I have 720cc secondaries, and the walbro pump. And plan on running 10psi. Also S5 IC. I wont up the boost untill I go FMIC. But I was wondering if I upgraded to a hybrid turbo and ran the 10 psi would I still need to retune the S-afc?

Also If I tune for 12psi, wouldn't I run rich at 8psi or even 10psi?

i would worry way more about running lean than rich... without proper tuning you can blow your engine even at 6 psi....

you'd need to retune because an upgraded turbo will flow more and hold more boost to redline than the stock one.

that is a fine little piece of equipment to get some smoothness into the bolt ons that you may add. I don't like the pump you have, but the rest of the set-up seems nice. I think you will be well satisfied.
