Brakes!

i have an 87 se with an s5 engine... i bought an 88 gxl parts car and did a complete suspension conversion from 4 to 5 lug and made it possie... the car is put together and running but when you hold the brake pedal down it hits the floor so i need to pump the brakes to stop...
ive done a search and read a few threads but they dont straight out say that said you need the brake booster when doing the conversion... i bled the brakes... there are no leaks in the system so i want to know do i really need the brake booster or the master cylinder or both or neither... i dont want to go out and spend that kind of money unless im sure i need it...any information would help! thanx!

I am about to do the same conversion my self and i was worry about the master cylinder and booster also. But it really sound like you have air in the system. And my teacher show me a trick to get rid of some of those hard to get bubbles. Pump the brake pedal and just loosen the bolt at the master cylinder, do the front and rear line. That releass some of the air bubble that got up to the master cylinder. Than bleed the brakes from the farest from the master cylinder first than the other wheels. Like i said i am about to do the conversion sooonn so tell me what happen alright??
