WA Turboing

Hey all! I have a non-turbo 87 SE RX7 that I was hoping to turbo. I was curious if anyone knew any good kits to get? I was looking at one on ebay... anyone ever bought a kit from ebay? If so, what were your thoughts about it? Thanks!

Yes the stock tii parts. Everything will bolt up. But you need to port match the tii lim to the engine. If you searched for tina. Or 6 port turbo you will find numerous threads

Check the FAQ and search..... you're not the first person who's wanted to turbo a 6-port engine.

Beware that most of the turbo kits on eBay are of very poor quality, with made in China no-name turbos, thin walled manifolds, and then a bunch of other China knockoff parts.

Also, from the FAQ:

Can I swap a Turbo engine/Jspec engine/13BT/etc into my Non Turbo?
Yes, check these links:

How do I add a turbo to my NA 13B?
What Turbo kits can I add onto my non turbo RX-7?
There are no longer kits formally made at the time of this post, however there are companies from time to time that do make available non turbo to Turbo Kits. Because most of these companies stop building the kits, or go out of business in short time, it is impossible to keep active links for them.

Most people that turbo a non turbo make their own kits:

Yes. And rear end. And transmission.
Probably easier just to find a clean used TII.

Lever I wanted to do the same thing when I was rocking a 6 port but a wise rotary enthusiast up here pointed out to me one time all the little things the 4 port TII block had over the 6 port. Oil Galley and some scrolling system he kept yammering about are the two that stick out in my mind (I still don't know wtf the scrolling was) but he talked me in to going with an S5 TII block and I have been extremely satisfied so far.

A proper turbo swap would do away w/the n/a rear end you are currently running so your welded difff wouldn't affect it.

As far as cost, I'm in it for about a grand, but most of that was for a fresh n/a block. Also my car is an original turbo so I don't have to worry about electrical components.
