Turbo sizing, question.
Well, I am going to be upgrading the turbo in our family car, 2002 WRX Wagon. I was wondering if the stock turbo that is in it would work well in my RX-7. I am going to be putting a turbo in it anyways, and was hoping to save a few hundred this route. Car will have MegaSquirt.
I am more concerned about size of turbo. It seems pretty small. I have one of the turbo sheets for it, i just don't know what the cfm of an S4 rotary is.
I am only plannning on mid to high 200's for HP right now. 12-14 psi.
Thanks.

It would help if you post a link to the compressor map, but I think a turbo designed for a 1.0L/rev 6,000rpm family car engine will be too small for a 1.3L/rev 7,000rpm sports car engine.
A stock-port 13B will flow somewhere around 500-550cfm at your described boost and HP level.
