Turbo Modifications?

Hey I was wondering where can you send your stock turbo to be modified?? also is this worth it cuz i hear its alot cheeper than buying a new turbo upgrade. Also is it worth it? what kind of preformance diff. do you get compared to a replacing it with a aftermarket upgrade kit. how reliable is it compared to stock and compared to aftermarket upgrades??
Thanks
Ryan

do a search for BNR

yes it's worth it. it's like $600 instead of 2-3000

hybrid will get you 300RWHP pretty easy aslong as you have the fuel, fuel control, and a better intercooler.

Just wanted to post the place now I have a question. If you get the stocker built-up what do you do about the wastegate, I am imagining that your keeping the stock manifold or is that with an aftermarket manifod.

turbos are around $500-1000. then add for new manifold, wastegate, custom oil and water lines, custom down pipe, and custom IC piping.

instead of a hybrid that bolts on for $600

these numbers are simply to bolt the turbo on. correct fueling, intercooling etc needs to be added on to both.

For reliability, the turbo itself isn't as important as correct fuelling, tuning, intake temps, etc. Uness you're prepared to drop a lot of money into this at once, the tubo is the last thing you should be upgrading. Make sure the support systems are in place first or you'll just blow it up.

Also, a hybrid is not a cheaper way of getting the same performance as a complete new turbo. It's just a compromise between stock and all-new.

im highly thinking of getting my s4 turbo rebuilt by BNR..
i called him and talked prices for a stage 2 upgrade, and its just out of my price range... (700 or so bucks)
does anyone know if there is a stage 1...or is it just a basic rebuild...i want more than a rebuild, but less then a stage two...i have a sorta limited budget.....ive tried to ask him about that and cant get in touch with him anymore...does anyone know of or have a stage 1 upgrade (if it exists)???

im not really looking for a kit....i was just wondering if anyone had gotten something less than a stage two from BNR....
i just cant afford a stage two (700)
so i was hoping that maybe a stage one would be around 3-4 hundred....
its either me rebuilding/upgrading my s4 or buying a s5....i would rather upgrade and rebuild mine, so i know its good and whatnot, but if i buy a s5 i dont want it to break on my prematurely....

anywho....thanks for the reply
