Turbo leak

I've had my engine rebuilt and the original turbo put back on as it looked ok.
the car has only gone up and down the road a couple of times. (Doesn't smoke much)
I have oil leaking from under the turbo on the exhaust side next to the return line.
I've heard it could be a few different things but wanting to know where to start.
I did notice the return line (standard) is alot cooler at the 90" bend before it enters the front cover.
Could it be a return line issue?
should it be the same temp or is oil not flowing properly?
or do I need to remove and replace turbo?
I'm just worried the same thing will happen to the next one.
Much appreciated if anyones had this problem

can you see the turbo drain flange on the turbo? does it look wet, have you tried to tighten the bolts? did you use a new gasket when you reassembled it?

Yes a new gasket was used on the oil return line and no oil there.
it looks to be coming from the turbo itself around the bolts that hold it together on the exhaust side

When the engine was rebuilt. did you replace the oil pressure regulator with a higher pressure one? Also, how long did the turbo sit off of the engine, as in without any oil being run through it?

I'm not sure on the oil regulator I didn't hear that spoken about during the build.
I have a fair idea the turbo sat for approx 6 years

i think it's safe to say that if the turbo hasn't been run in that long, that the oil seals are probably shot and causing your oil leak. Either get it rebuilt or upgraded
