Turbo II J-Spec

Alright hears the deal.

Ordered the two engines one for myself one for a friend, S5 turbo II j-spec
found some goodys...

OS Giken twin plate clutch with some unknown lightened steel flywheel.
and for some reason a S4 TII tranny on it. Missing a BOV.

My budies engine had a type S BOV mounted on it and some other smalls.
we havent pulled his tranny yet though..

But thats not the point..

I'm putting mine in a FB. So I'm not going to mess with the stock harness and ECU. I'm going to wait till i can afford a Microtech. and LT-8 it. So other than all of that, mounting is solved, the rear-end is going to be iffy. Also going to need a custom driveshaft. (turbo II tranny to a GSL-SE rear) Besides that is there any input you guys have, to get it running and well, that will be speific to make it run in a first gen. Also i'm sorry about posting this hear but I would guess you guy would have more knowledge on this. I'm going midly strip the car a bit. Before i get the engine and lt-8 in, I want my to be near wireless. clean it up a bunch, and rewire only important items. Any input from anyone?

well, j-specs are suposed to have about 25k to 35k miles on them, so I'm not going to rebuild a nearly new engine.

You shouldn't have to. I've done the swap three times now and there all still kicking and started up first try.

Jspecs are a crap shoot. 25k miles doesn't guarantee you anything (besides a good core for rebuilding). Rebuild it and you'll have yourelf a rock-solid engine.

Well, if it cranks up I'm not going to rebuild it till it blows. lol. Why waste cash if it runs. When and if it pops I'll rebuild, but I'm going to run the **** out of as much as I can. If it pops I'll buy another one at 650 bucks. =D
