Exclamation turbo help please!! please?

Ok I looked but i didnt find anything definite so...how much stress can an n/a s4 engine take? meaning bolt-on turbo.....is it possible? or is it just not worth it?

I want to turbo my car but i dont have like over 5k to get a TII s4
so i was wondering if it was ok to do a bolt-on and if possible how much boost can it handle safely?

thanks

You don't need $5000 to find a S4 TII. I won't even tell you what I picked my 10AE up for. With a 4k mile rebuild at that.

Let's just say if you were patient, and your N/A is in decent shape, you could sell it for enough to buy a running S4 TII.

There's alot of other things to consider when doing a turbo swap. Sometimes it's just easier to catch a flight and pick up a TII. Preferably an unmodded one.

does it matter? i mean how much it can take...
i seriously doubt you'd really push it to THAT big of a limit.
i'm in the process of doint the NA/turbo setup.
i'm doing it for drifting.
having the linear feel of power with no lag.. with that extra bounce of power.
thats MY reason for getting it.
now why are YOU doing it?

i completely understand what you are saying and i find it very true.....however under my circumstances at this time i can do neither which is why i asked about the bolt-on...i just wish to know if its do-able and if the n/a rotors can handle it?

Are you trying to put a stock turbo on a NA? or a upgraded turbo? I turboed my 6 port NA with a T04E 60-1 a couple years ago.. I did it on a 1200 budget. It came out nice and held up pretty good. I was running really low boost on it though but was satisfied with the power output.

I tried to turbo my NA. It can be done for less than 1k. However, I recommend you be extremely selective when it comes to parts. I bought some stuff off of forum members who were "getting out of rotaries" and most of the crap wasn't any good. In the end, it cost me far more than it should have.

I basically took my NA core and put a TII top end with S4 turbo on it. It worked out well, the car pulled like an SOB. Just take your time and make sure you go all the way. Standalone or TII ECU w/ 550/720 and SAFC. Wideband is a must. etc etc.. same thing everyone else is going to tell you.
