Turbo?

What is the hybrid turbo I have seen on a lot for TII? Not sure what it is or means. Just trying to figure it out.

stock exhaust side with a larger compressor. It moves more air but spools like stock. It's a good option for a street/ daily driven car.

Pictures Stock S5 Turbo and TB04 Hybrid Turbo

Picture and 1000 words, as the saying goes.

The TB04 (on the left) destined for The Beast. Not a huge difference in size, but enough for my purposes and should disappear nicely under the stock heat shielding. I just got the manifold back from having it ceramic coated to further reduce under hood temps.

I'm getting 260 to the wheel with the stock S5 turbo. Goal is an even 300 with the Hybrid and still retain DD drivability. Anything beyond 300 is gravy.

Lol. It's actually "A picture is worth a thousand words." Good reference pics though.

LOL... it was an abreviated reference. But, thanks for expanding it for those that weren't familiar with it.

If you already have the components, any turbo shop should be able to piece together a turbo. If you want the whole package, BNR turbos does rebuild/upgrades. Many people are very happy with them. Knight Sports and HKS offered some, but I am pretty sure they are out of production.
