Trying out MMO

I bought a gallon jug of MMO yesterday and tried it out last night. Im running 20-50 oil and I didnt wanna use too much (about half a quart) cause I thought it would thin the oil out too much but I was surprised because its actually kinda thick. Havent noticed any differences as of yet besides my max oil pressure dropped from about 70-75 down to about 60max it looks like. Ive heard mixed things about MMO so I'll let you guys know if theres any developments. Anyone else have any good/bad exp's with this stuff?

**** search, don't put MMO in your motor oil, put it in your gas, it is premix not engine oil. Use about 4ozs

Suds, whats your problem? And stop giving bad advice too(dont use it in the oil).

If youll do a search, youll find many good posts about it. Personally, I swear by the stuff. It works great. its a detergent. It was designed to break down deposits, and also lubricate. I used it in my moms saturn a few times, and the valve cover gasket needed to be replaced(NOT caused by the MMO, the car had 160K miles). Im friends with the owner of the shop it was taken to, and he told me it was the cleanest valvatrain he's EVER seen. And thats on a motor with 160K miles. Now that should tell you something.

And I use 1 qt in my oil every other oil chance, since my motor was rebuild 20K miles ago. Everything stays spotlessly clean, and the oil always comes out looking nearly as good as when it was put in.

And it makes a great fuel injector cleaner when you put it in your gas.

Agreed it's great stuff! You can use it in the oil and the gas. I use it in both from time to time.

I had never heard of putting it in with the engine oil, how much do you add? I have heard ~5ozs for the gas tank.

Sorry, I didnt make this thread with the intent of asking about MMO but just posting up my observations. One difference ive noticed so far is my cars starting up much easier then before and I dont have to really feather the gas when its cold (TB mod). After doing some searching I found another site which also reported their car needed less vacuum to start after using MMO. I was also a bit worried that it would sludge up my clean oil and id have to change sooner but after checking yesterday, it still looks perfect.

It would only do that if your oil system was chock full of deposits. Im sure youll have to change your oil sooner than normal, but think of it this way. Thats gunk that is no longer in your engine.

Yea it definetly has made a difference on start up. Thanks to the TB mod I had to feather the throttle on cold start. On yesterdays start up I had to for about a second but today it held perfectly, so far, so good
