Trouble shooting why car won't start
Trouble shooting why car won't start
First of all i've tried searching the forums but can't seem to match my issue
My engine is newly rebuild (about an hours runtime)
It ran fine but had a unset throttlebody so it had a low set idle.
I did some maintenance and found that my fuel pump was crystalized along with a rusty tank. So I replaced
Fuel pump (Dw300)
Filter
Tank
Put everything back together as it was except for the new parts.
Now she won't start by simply turning the key. She is getting fuel because we can get her running by using starter fluid. And she sounds ok except for a exhaust leak from the piping under the car (loose bolt/gasket).
I don't know where to keep looking. I removed the cat to see if that was clogged and it was hard to see through by about 40% the wafer. Also the bottom stack was cracked.
Anyone have some ideas?
Robert
Edit: Forgot to mention its a S5 Turbo 1991stock

That could be an issue. I'll have to double check. Afaik I didn't remove any tubing. I did loose the charge pipe. Gonna check that and go through the other vaccume lines. Are there any common spots?
