Having problems. Any sugestions?

last night i was driving on a quarter of a tank of gas, and when i slowed down for a dip in the road my engine died and when i tried to start my car it ran up to 1000 rpm and died. last month i replaced my fuel filter and my sock in the tank so i know its not that. my fuel pump is working. im not sure if the pump castrated and sucked up some crap and clogged the filter or if my fuel pump relay is bad. has anyone had this problem? please help my car is stuck in norfolk and im in va beach.

When you try to start the car what happens?

Does the starter turn?

Have you checked all of the fuses?

Is the battery fully charged?

When a car just dies like that, I think "electrical."

yes i checked all my fuses thats the first thing i did, the starter turns and the engine runs for a split second, the second thing i did was checked my spark and thats fine also. then i pulled off my acces panel to my fuel pump to se if it was still working and yes the fuel pump works. im thinking that i have something cloging my fuel line. what im gonna do next is pull my fuel filter out and blow air thru the lines while there disconected.
