Ok, my tranny feels real messed up. sometimes, after heavy driving, when i let off the gas at high RPM's it feels like the tranny sags and the car bogs and i hear a weird clunking sound. and when i step on the gas, i hear the clunking sound and it feels the tranny straightened up again and the sounds disappears. I also hear alot of chafing sounds from the shifter. sorry about the weird descriptions but thats my best to describe it. I hope you guys can help me. Do you think i need a new tranny/clutch/flywheel?

 

Does your shifter vibrate or shake a lot? If you can feel a lot of weird movement maybe your tranny mounts r gone.

 

It could also be U-jounts about ready to let go.

 

Yup, both my tranny mount and drive shaft were bad, same symptoms you are having.
