well, both. its adjustable and can go bad. the TPS on my T2 died (well, from what i could tell anyway). slapped in one off a 91 jspec motor, and now it runs great again. there is an adjustment screw located next to the TPS that you can turn to get the resistance or volt meter reading that you need. there are some pretty good tutorials on it...and i have them bookmarked, but i'm at school now not at home, hehe. what year/model rex do you have?

Natedogg....try reading this..https://www.rx7club.com/vforums/show...osition+sensor Just remember, you have a 87. The 89 and above use a different tps and the adjustment differs.
