Too Rich?
Too Rich?
As my car goes back together I am stepping up the fuel system to prepare for future mods. As my finances stand I can only purchase a few parts as this goes back together.
My question is am I going to be running too rich with a Walbro 255lph pump and 720cc secondaries in collaboration with my intake and exhuast. I can afford these two parts but not anything to tune (S-AFC) them. While the car is apart I'd rather replace the injectors now than later. Please advise.

Rich is better than lean, however...
Can you afford the gas? On my vert with with rebuilt, streetported engine, stock injectors and stock fuel pump, I was only getting 6-8 miles to the gallon (don't know why it was running so rich). I had to get the S-AFC installed so I could lean it out just to be able to drive it and break in the engine.

Frank,
You can always leave the car parked till you get the S-AFC to control your injectors. The pumps is a must with the exhaust you have, injectors are a nice plus while I am rebuilding your car.
Since $ are limited you could go to a blood bank and/or sperm bank and make some fast cash.
I would get the parts and wait for the S-AFC, then I would tune and drive the daylight out of her.

Not just rich, very rich! Black smoke rich probably. That's about 15% more fuel than the ECU thinks it's injecting, probably more with the pump. You'll lose a fair bit of power running that rich, making extra boost pointless. Leave the injectors until you can afford the S-AFC (and lay off the boost), but do the pump.
