tokico hp vs kyb gr2 and gas adjust

my shocks are blown and i have priced out both the tokico's and the kyb's to be about the same, i'm just wodering which would be better. The gr2's will go on the front and gas adjust on the rear or just the hp's all the way around.I have the tanabe gf210 springs (i know i should've saved for a coil over system so dont tell me where i went wrong) and i just want better handling on mountain roads and such, i was going to build to drift but decided to go a different direction. Help is greatly appreciated
Thanks!

None of those are rated for the increased spring rate or drop. Tokico Illuminas or KYB AGX's are what you should be looking for.

Tokico Blues-HP's-are considered an upgrade with increased damping from the original shocks.

MAzdatrix recommends the HP for their lowering springs.

I have HP's on my Eibach lowering springs with fine results for over 20,000 miles.

The GR2's on OTHER appications I have used them on provided tighter damping than the OEM struts, similar to the Tokico HPs

I have no idea about the gas adjust's if they are tighter damping or the OEM equivalent.

Any shock will be an upgrade over blown out shocks.

Good Luck!

I think it was the Mazdaspeed Struts/Shocks that were made by KYB. I would go with the KYB AGX with lowering springs from people I know who run that combo.

How about Koni's? Never heard bad things about them.

I have the GR2 on Tein S. Tech feels pretty good I had Tokico Blues (HP) on stock springs and it feels alot tighter but of course I'm lowered but a friend of mine had the same set up on the blue on a coupe it felt nice but the back was a little loose to me, But that's maybe because i have a Vert...

I bought Tokico Illuminas for my FB at Shox.com last fall and found they had the lowest price at that time. I plan to get new shocks/struts for my vert from them this fall.
