Does anyone still rock a super-afc? I got one tossed into the car when i bought it. I never got around to installing it. I dont know all that much about it but I figure while i have it I might as well try it out. I have a fuel cut defencer but I need a MBC. Can I get decent results with this or is it not worth the trouble?
adjusting fuel is always a plus.
You wont gain much from just adjusting fuel though, most important is timing, especially over stock boost. You need some way to retard the timing above stock boost.
Look into the Rtek ecu, basically plug and play.

RTek cipped ECU is a good route to take when using the SAFC. I would also look into a wideband for tuning and preventative measures. Prolly a good Boost controller since you can now add more fuel, you can also increase the ammont of PSI you run.
it runs on a palm pilot. It takes some time to get used to it to tune with a palm pilot, its very tedious lol
You can either get a 1.7, which with the safc, 720 injectors, and a good boost controller. This setup is basic, you can run up to 12 psi on the stock engine, and be safe because above stock boost, the rtek 1.7 will automatically retard the timing. The stock ecu doesnt after stock boost (5.5psi S4 TII, 8psi S5 TII) so this will give you that safety margin. Same with the 720 injectors, upping boost will need more fuel, bigger injector + Safc to tune will be good.
You can get a rtek 2.1 which is basically a plug and play standalone. You tune ignition and fuel. The stock maps are there so you can run it just by plugging it in. But when you want to change the ignition timing, you have to make a entire new timing map by yourself. Look in the Rtek forum here on Rx7club, ARGHX has a base timing map to start from. With the 2.1 you dont need a SAFC though since you tune the fuel with the palm pilot.
As far as I know, all rtek comes with fuel cut defender already
