TII Conversion Question...

i have a 88 GXL i want to do a TII swap could anybody list from top to bottom on what i need to do this? i plan to do this cause my car is going to need a new engine neways, has 140 right now so i plan to start the motor rebuild it and then throw it in there. After i have all the parts. So could someoen help me out with this and how much the total price would run?? im prolly gonna start off with a blown motor or a motor thats about to die.....
So all im really asking is:
#1 total cost runby
#2 everything i might need

P.S i will be doing minor upgrades along the way i might not stay with stock turbo but if i do i plan to boost it as high as i can but still be safe if i choose a different turbo ill let you guys know..
Thanks In Advance

first get that F&F out of your sig

second, use the search button

third, i've spent more than $5,000 on my $150 car and I haven't started it yet. you sure you're ready for a turbo swap?

I spent around 5k on my swap because I upgraded alot of stuff. Don't try and use the 550 fuel injectors you will get with a t2 motor. Spend the money and have them cleaned by rc or buy new ones. I have around 12-13k in my vert/t2 now so I am working on finishing the bitch

yeah I would say start with a t2. Not really much reason to swap a gxl.

Well, I was going to do a basic swap and then upgrade little by little, but I didn't want to buy things twice. (Even though I ended up buying a couple of things twice or three times, heh)

BUT if you look around and get some good deals on stuff like I did, it can be worth it.

The easy way out is still to sell it and buy a TII.

that was wierd.. logged me in as poor student...

anyway..

I love it. Everytime someone asks, all the replies are "Sell it and buy a TII." Well ok, sell me YOUR TII then. Oh.. you don't want to? What aobut the next guy.. they don't want to either? They're not as easy to come by as you think, at least in a condition that would make them a better cantidate than to swap into a GXL (GXL = turboless turbo model anyway, so why not?).

Well you asked a really bad question. Everyone here will tell you to search.

I've made a few threads with a gorcery list of stuff for my own reference.

You need TII ECU,Boost sensr,Harness,Tranny,Drive shaft,rearend,throttle cable,Clutch slave cylinder,AFM,TII clutch,TII hood(or FMIC)..........

I have spent over 5-6k on my conversion so far.

I have gone the rebuilt Jspec route since I needed manifolds and housings, etc.

I did the conversion because I didn't have enough $$ to get a TII when my GTU blew it's engine.

So far this conversion has taken 6 months and is coming to a close with in 3 weeks.

See sig for some stuff.
